Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
37 HCU (~18 SRM)
Bitterness: 10 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 5.4% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Water: use any bottled water.
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 40L
4 oz. American chocolate
Steep: steep grains 20-30 mins at 170-1780 degrees F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.133 2 gallons
3 lb. 3 oz. Light malt extract
1 lb. Light dry malt extract
2 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Add 1 teaspoon irish moss last 15 of boil
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Use any good ale yeast.
Log: ferment at 68-72 degrees F until bubbling stops. Then allow to rest for 5 days.
Carbonation: use 5 ounces dextrose
