Started as an experiment in creating my own brown ale

Type: Partial mash Size: 6 gallons
Color:
75 HCU (~29 SRM)
Bitterness: 37 IBU
OG: 1.048 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Water: Plain tap water boiled for cleanliness
Grain: 4 lb. American 2-row
2 lb. British brown
8 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Oats (raw)
Mash: 70% efficiency
mash grains arround 150° for arround 90 mins, add half of hops now, then other half during last 15 mins, then add dry malt and liquid boil for 20 mins longer
Boil: minutes SG 1.096 3 gallons
2 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. Amber dry malt extract
uhmm, look at mashing notes
Hops: 2 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: i prefer either edme dry or wyeast irish
Log: ferment for 8 days then rack and ferment for 7 more days then bottle
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Cane Sugar: 5.10 oz. for 6 gallons @ 70°F
Tasting: nice nut brown flavor, the roasted barley adds a real nice surprisong flavor
