Teays Valley Brown Ale

A nice malty Brown Ale with nice aftertaste that says "Hey, pull another pint"

Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: None
Grain: 18 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
.16 lb. British chocolate
.08 lb. British black patent
Mash: 80% efficiency
Brought hlt temp to 170°, which mashed in at 150°. 1.25 quarts h2o per lb of grain. Held at that temp for 90 min. Mashed out at 168° for 15 min. Sparged until i collected 12 gallons.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.046 12 gallons
put in 2 teaspoons of Irish Moss ten minutes before end of boil
Hops: 1.5 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1098
Log: Primary fermentor one week, secondary two weeks, kegged
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 4.7 psi @ 35°F
Tasting: Excellent brown ale, next time I will leave in secondary fermentor a few more weeks to clear a bit more.
