R.O.B. (Roberts Own Brown)

A lovely, smooth and delicate ale with a nice hoppy finish.
It's still in the bottle and I hope it will become even better...

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 15 liters
Color:
22 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 17 IBU
OG: 1.039 FG: 1.009
Alcohol: 3.9% v/v (3.0% w/w)
Water: 0,5 tsp NaCl to 19 liters of water. (this is calculated to suit my soft water in Gothenburgh)
Grain: 60g British black patent
Steep: Just made a simple "heat-and-drain" with the black malt.
Boil: 45 minutes SG 1.058 10.0 liters
1000g Light dry malt extract
500g Dextrose powder
Irish moss the last 20 minutes of boil.
Hops: 15g Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
Yeast: British ale yeast
Log: Brewed 05-09-98
Primary fermentation at 22 C finished 12-09-98
Dry hopped with 10g Fuggles after primary fermentation
Bottled 20-09-98

Carbonation: 100g Dextrose to 13 liters of beer ca 7g/liter
Tasting: Tastes simply ...more
