Limerick Nuclear Ale

This is a little something I threw together.

Beer: Limerick Nuclear Ale Style: English Old/Strong Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
53 HCU (~23 SRM)
Bitterness: 15 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Water: Deer Park Bottled Water
Grain: 8 oz. British crystal 70-80L
4 oz. British black patent
Steep: Brought water to a boil. Added grains. Removed from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Then added 7 lbs of John Bull Amber Malt extract, 2 lbs honey. Brought to boil. Added hops throughout the boiling process at 15 minute intervals.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.134 2 gallons
7 lb. Amber malt extract
1 tsp Irish Moss added during the last 15 minutes of Boil time.
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: WYEAST
Log: Transfered to secondary after 7 days. Added .5 oz of Goldings to the Secondary.
