I'm trying hard to make a red ale.

Type: All grain Size: 22 liters

21 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 31 IBU
OG: 1.056 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 6.2% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Water: 1tsp CaSO4 went into the mash
Grain: 4kg 500g British lager
250g Wheat malt
150g American crystal 120L
300g Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
60g Roasted barley
0g Raw wheat
Mash: 75% efficiency
57 °c for 30 minutes then 66°c for 60 minutes
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.043 28.5 liters
whirlfloc P added 15 minutes before shotoff
Hops: 24g target (10% AA, 60 min.)
15g Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 1 packet of brewers Ale yeast rehydrated prior to pitching.
Log: started 26 10 2000 at 23°c will be kegged..
Carbonation: will be kegged.
Tasting: dunno, but the sample I took for the OG reading was nice..
