Water: Very soft water.
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 40L
1 oz. American black patent
Steep: Steep grains in a gallon of 165°F water for an hour.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.070 3.5 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Fuggles (4.8% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.8% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Ale yeast (1 pint) obtained from local brewpub. (Thanks, Christian!)
Log: Primary 5 days at 70°F. Secondary 5 days at 60°F. Bottled and aged 7 days at 40°F.
Carbonation: Corn sugar, man!
