Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
20 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.122 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 13.9% v/v (10.9% w/w)
Water: Add a teaspoon or so of gypsum if you like.
Grain: 1 lb. American Crystal 60L
Steep: Steep grains for the typical 45 minutes @ 155° F.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.122 5 gallons
7 lb. Light LME
8 lb. Honey
Add 1 teaspoon of flaked Irish Moss the last 15 minutes of the boil.
Hops: 1.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Day 1: Wyeast #1007 German
Day 3: Wyeast #3632 Dry Mead
Log: Ferment combined yeasts in primary for two weeks.
Carbonation: It is recommended to keg this as additional fermentation my occur.
