Chay's Strawberry Bliss

Wanted to Brew a high alcohol summer sipper with a fruity taste.

Brewer: Colby Fry Email: -
Beer: Chay's Strawberry Bliss Style: American Lager
Type: Extract Size: 5 gallons
Color:
6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 9 IBU
OG: 1.072 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 8.2% v/v (6.4% w/w)
Water: keep water soft.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.143 2.5 gallons
4 lb. Alexanders Sun Country Pale Malt
5 lb. Honey
irish moss last 15 min.
Yeast energizer, 6 tablets.
Add all ingredients to pot and boil for 60 minutes. Skim 'honey foam' from top of wort to clear the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Muntons Premium dry, 30 grams will do.
Log: Primary 10 days @ 65F
Secondary 2 weeks @ 50F then 3 weeks @ 34F.
Add 4oz strawberry/kiwi flavoring and keg @ 34F for 2 weeks or more. Will last for a long time and flavor will change will lagering.
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Keg: 10.2 psi @ 34°F
Tasting: initial taste, sweet, light. Now to the secondary fermenter.
