Space Cadet Strawberry Blonde

A single hopped strawberry blonde made with Australian Galaxy hops, known to be very fruity with citrus and passion fruit overtones. Perfect for those sunny summer Saturdays. Cheers!

Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.044 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 4.1% v/v (3.2% w/w)
Water: Tapwater with 1 tablespoon 5.2 Stabilizer and 1 teaspoon gypsum.
Grain: 4 lb. American 6-row
4 lb. Wheat malt
2 oz. Honey Malt
3 oz. American crystal 80L
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single infusion mash at 155°F for 60 minutes. Continuous sparge with 175°F water to attain 7.5 gallons in brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.032 7.5 gallons
Hops: .25 oz. Galaxy (13% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Galaxy (13% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Galaxy (aroma)
Yeast: Safale US-05
Log: Ferment at 65°F for 7 to 10 days. Rack to secondary fermenter and add 3 lbs sliced strawberries. Allow to rest 7 days.
Carbonation: Keg and force carbonate.
