Big Blue W -- Blueberry Wheat Ale

A nice beginner's ale recipe for the Westinghouse cookbook.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
5 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 15 IBU
OG: 1.043 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.2% v/v (3.3% w/w)
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.107 2 gallons
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 lb. Wheat extract
1 lb. Honey
Don't add the honey to your boil until the last couple minutes. You wouldnt want any of that flavor to boil off.
Hops: 1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 1 package dry brewers yeast (Muntons, Safale or Danstar brand), rehydrated in a cup of lukewarm water.
Carbonation: Add 2/3 cup of priming sugar (dextrose), and 2 oz of blueberry extract to your beer before bottling it.
