This is a nice lager for the later summer months.
This is a nicely balanced Helles.

Bitterness: 31 IBU
OG: 1.048 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Water: none
Grain: 13 lb. German Pilsner
3 lb. German Vienna
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 83% efficiency
154 degree mash
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.041 13 gallons
Irish Moss at 20 minutes.
Hops: 2 oz. Saaz (2.8% AA, 90 min.)
2 oz. Saaz (2.8% AA, 45 min.)
2 oz. Saaz (2.8% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Saaz (2.8% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Whitelabs German lager yeast from previous batch of Marzen. Pumped wort to conical fermenter containing left over yeast slurry.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 8.2 psi @ 32°F
Tasting: Should be similar to the Czech Pils I brew, but with a dryer character and slightly less hop bitterenss and flavor.
