Water: 1 tsp of Gypsum at 30 min of boil.
Grain: .5 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. American victory
.25 lb. Flaked oats
.25 lb. 30-32L
Steep: Brought 3 gallons of water to 155 and steeped grains for 45 min. Diped grain bag about 5 times to wash it.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.075 3.5 Imp. gal.
8 lb. Dark malt extract
I used 1 tsp Gypsum as the water treatment. Seven pounds of malt extract
Hops: 1.00 oz. Columbus (15% AA, 60 min.)
1.00 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
0.50 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
1 oz. Columbus (aroma)
Yeast: California Ale yeast WLP001
Log: Brewed on Sep.-23-2008. Took gravity reading after pitching the yeast. The temp was a little high(69 degrees).After airating for about 5 min the reading was 1.052. Took a gravity reading 15 hours later. The tempature was lower than the night before.Iit was 1.060. Well see how it turns out. I will be dry hopping with 1 oz of columbus hop.
Carbonation: 4.25 ounces dextose
