Red's Better Bitter

I have no idea how this beer will taste!

Beer: Red's Better Bitter Style: English Ordinary Bitter
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 10 gallons
Color:
45 HCU (~20 SRM)
Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.039 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 3.5% v/v (2.7% w/w)
Water: Baltimore tap water-- THE BEST!
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 40L
14 oz. American chocolate
Steep: Steep specialty grains for 30 minutes at approximately 160° F.
Boil: 120 minutes SG 1.065 6 gallons
4.3 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Cane sugar
1 lb. 5 oz. Amber malt extract
2 lb. Dark malt extract
None
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham; no starter necessary.
Log: Brewed 3/24/02 (Palm Sunday). Ferment at 65-70°F to completion. Bottle,
store for 3 weeks (2 if desperate!). Enjoy.
Carbonation: 5 oz of cane sugar, boiled and stirred into entire batch. Stir occasionally
while bottling.
Tasting: We'll see . . . I'm using a lot of sugar . . .
