Boogs Light

This is a good light beer similar to Bud light or Coors light without requiring a lager yeast

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
3 HCU (~3 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.041 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.0% v/v (3.1% w/w)
Water: Use 7 gallons of water treated with reverse-osmosis
Add .75 tsp of Gypsum
Add .25 tsp of non-iodized table salt
Grain: 1.75 lb. American 2-row (crushed)
.5 lb. Maize Flakes (gelatinized)
Steep: grain and corn for 30 minutes at 150 degrees
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.029 7 gallons
3.3 lb. Morgan's Unhopped Extra Pale Malt Extract
2 lb. Rice Syrup Solids
Add 1.5 tsp of hydrated Irish Moss during the last 15 minutes of the boil
Airate wort with pure oxygen for 15 seconds
Add 3 Beano tablets to fermentor
Hops: .83 oz. Cascade (7% AA, 50 min.)
.5 oz. Mt. Hood (Home Grown) (aroma)
Yeast: #1056XL - 175ml Wyeast American Ale
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Keg: 30.4 psi @ 70°F
