Water: 100% (Store Bought) Crystal Brand Mineral Water Used.
Grain: 5.0 oz. American Crystal 60L
Steep: Steep American Crystal 60L for 45 Minutes @ 152 Deg. F.
DO NOT USE CARAPILS...it is already in LME & DME's.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.039 2.50 gallons
26.40 oz. Breiss GOLDEN Liquid Malt Extract (1/2 Container Breiss LME)
8.00 oz. Breiss GOLDEN Dry Malt Extract (DME)
4.00 oz. MaltoDextrin (For Body & Mouthfeel)(No Fermentables)
3.00 oz. AMBER Dry Malt Extract (AMBER DME)
Boil liquid from 60L grains, LME, DME & hops per 60 min. schedule.
NOTE: 17.5 min. for flavor hops. Aroma hops for only 2 min.
Hops: 7.0g Hallertauer Mittlefruh (4.00% AA, 60 min.)
14.0g Tettnanger (4.40% AA, 60 min.)
10.0g Hallertauer Mittlefruh (4.00% AA, 17.5 min.)
4.0g Hallertauer Mittlefruh (aroma)
7.0g Tettnanger (aroma)
1.0g Crystal (aroma)
15.0g DRY HOP w/7 gms H. Mittlefruh, 7 gms Tettnanger & 1 gm. Crystal (aroma)
Yeast: 1 Package Saflager 34/70 Dry Yeast. Ferment @ 48°F to 59°F

Bottled: May 4, 2013
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Corn Sugar: 60.5g for 2.25 gallons @ 70°F
1 tsp. CORN Sugar per 12 oz bottle.
Tasting: I am very pleased with the outcome. Very, very close to S.A. Boston Lager.
I have made and "tweaked" 5 previous batches. This is my 6th batch and best of all.
