Alcohol: 6.9% v/v (5.4% w/w)
Water: 4 tsp. Gypsum per 5 gallons, both mash & sparge.
Grain: 20 lb. American 2-row
2 lb. British amber
2 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1 lb. Belgian chocolate
8 oz. Roasted barley
1 lb. Rolled oats
2 lb. Flaked wheat
Mash: 72% efficiency
The size of the grain bill (28.5 lbs.) barely fit in my 10-gallon cooler for mashing. I had to "manually" sparge it using a watering can.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.056 13 gallons
1/2 teaspoon Irish Moss at 30 min.
Hops: 2 oz. Nugget (16.9% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Fuggles (3.7% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Styrian Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast Scottish Ale Yeast
