.25 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
.25 lb. British Carastan light
Steep: bring water temp to 160 degrees and steep for 30 minutes
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.093 3 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: white labs burton ale yeast
Log: fermentation temp 70 degrees. primary 7-12 days add five lbs cherries for secondaty fermentation. time 7-20 days. Put into 3rd carboy to clear up 1-3 days
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 11.2 psi @ 38°F
Tasting: great crisp beer with a red color and a hint of cherries. enjoy
