163F strike water. Mash settled at 152F and decreased to 146 over an hour.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.039 7 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (5.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (5.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Pitched onto cake of previous batch of Am. brown ale using Wyeast European 1338.
Log: Brewed 8/31/01. Fermented at 65F in basement.
