Strawberry Pale

This is one of my favorites. It all started as an interest to clone Pete's Strawberry Blonde, it's since became an obsession! =>

Brewer: Nic Templeton Email: ntempleton@iname.com
Beer: Strawberry Pale Style: American Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
8 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.039 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 3.8% v/v (2.9% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 10L
Steep: Steep as usual.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.098 2 gallons
5 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Eroica (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: American Pale Ale yeast or something like that.
Log: The first time I made this beer, I added the Strawberry extract to the primary with the yeast, while I like the results I think the next time I make the brew I will add part of the extract to the primary and the rest to the secondary.
Carbonation: 2.4 volumes Dried Malt Extract: 7.26 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F
Tasting: Very good. Very pleasent 'berry bitterness' imparted in the beer. Over all, very enjoyable.
