Alaskan Amber Clone

Going for the Alaskan Amber recipe, but using Tettnanger hops, and possibly too much extract (a bit high on the original gravity).

Type: Partial mash Size: 5 gallons
Color:
19 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.056 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. American crystal 20L
.5 lb. American crystal 90L
Mash: 80% efficiency
Let all grains simmer at 150 degrees for an hour.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.093 3 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
1/2 teaspoon of Irish Moss for 15 minutes of the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Tettnanger (5.6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (5.6% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Koelsch Yeast
Log: Brewed January 28, 2002. Bottled February 7, 2002.
Carbonation: Bottled with 3/4 cup corn sugar on February 7, 2002.
