Type: Partial mash Size: 5 gallons

34 HCU (~17 SRM)
Bitterness: 10 IBU
OG: 1.068 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 6.2% v/v (4.8% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. Wheat malt
1 lb. 8 oz. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
Mash: 80% efficiency
Bring 2 gallons of water to a boil and turn off heat. Steep grains for 30 min. Remove grain bag and return to a boil, add Dry malt extract and 1.5 oz Mt. Hood hops to boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.170 2 gallons
6 lb. Light dry malt extract
0 oz.
At 30 min. into boil ad .25 oz of Tettnager Hops, at 45 min ad 1 teaspoon of Irish Moss. At 55 min. into boil turn off heat and steep .6oz. of Tettnager Hops. Sparge
Hops: 1.5 oz. Mt. Hood (4.4% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Tettnanger (4.0% AA, 30 min.)
.6 oz. Tettnanger (4.0% AA, 15 min.)
.25 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: Liquid German Ale Kolsch Yeast added to sparge and 3.5 gal. water at 70 degrees.
Log: Ferment for 5-7 days room temp.and use second carboy for second stage fermentation. Add .25oz. Tettnanger hops for dry hop at room temp 10-14 days.
Carbonation: Use 1 1/4 cup light DME as primer. Let bottles set 1 week at room temp. Chill 1 week before openining
