romney kolsch

i use a grain bag decoction mash i found works very well

Alcohol: 5.0% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Water: reverse osmosis
Grain: 13.0 lb. German Pilsner
0.56 lb. Belgian biscuit
0.56 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
Steep: steep with three grain bags . water temp 130 degrees for 30 min in all 6gal. bring water to 150 steep 60 min. remove grain bags place grain in mash tank . add extrac to boil. bring temp to 170. sparge wort into mash about 4.5 gal out of the 6gal in boil tank for 15in return to boil tank add the last gal. of water at room temp to sparge.for 10min drain mash tank an add to boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.062 7.0 gallons
.8 oz. Wheat extract
Hops: 1.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: yeast strater is best with a german ale yeast
Log: ferment 7 days in primary at 60 deg and 7days in secondary at 50 deg.
Carbonation: kraeusen with malt extract about 2 cups dried mixed with a quart of water add to bottle bucket . bottle beer and store at 50 deg. for 20 days
Tasting: rich semi dark full body low hoped . has a chocolate nutty finish
