Urine Charge Red Ale

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
60 HCU (~25 SRM)
Bitterness: 23 IBU
OG: 1.058 FG: 1.009
Alcohol: 6.3% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Water: Boil using Long Island tap. Top up using poland spring gallons chilled overnight in the fridge.
Grain: 8 oz. Belgian aromatic
1 lb. American crystal 120L
8 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
2 oz. Belgian Special B
2 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: Grains put in grain bag and steeped from the moment the burner is turned on till temp reaches ~165 (on my stove about 25 mins).
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.116 2.5 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
Whirlfloc tablet added at 40 min.
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: WLP004 Irish Red Ale Yeast
Log: Fermented at 64* for 8 days. Racked to secondary for 14 days. Bottle conditioned for 21 days. Delish.
Tasting: My tongue had an orgasm upon the first sip.
