International Communist Conspiracy

This is very similar to an extract recipe I made a while ago.
Since I was making a Red Ale, I thought I'd make it really red. Adding dried elderberries makes it quite distinctively red, and adds a mild fruity taste. They're strictly optional, the beer is great without them.

Brewer: WackAMole Email: -
Beer: International Communist Conspiracy Style: *Red* Ale
Type: Partial mash Size: 5 gallons
Color:
27 HCU (~14 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Grain: 8 lb. 8 oz. English pale
6 oz. British amber
12 oz. British crystal 70-80L
4 oz. Torrified wheat
1 oz. British black
Mash: 75% efficiency
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.045 6 gallons
with 15 minutes left in the boild add 1 tsp Irish moss and 1.5 ounces of dried elderberries.
Hops: .625 oz. Challenger (7% AA, 60 min.)
.75 oz. Saaz (3.5% AA, 30 min.)

Tasting: I like this stuff. A bit like Fat Tire, but slightly fruitier. Hops are subdued, just a bit of toasted malt character to make it interesting.
