Grain: 4.0 oz. Belgian CaraVienne
4.0 oz. Flaked rye
2.0 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
6.0 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steep specialty grains from cold water to just as first wisps of steam come off water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.052 3.75 gallons
3.25 lb. Light malt extract
1.5 lb. Honey
Irish Moss 15 min
Hops: 0.75 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (3.5% AA, 60 min.)
0.75 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (3.5% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast #3463 Forbidden Fruit Belgian Yeast
Log: Brewed 10/10/06
pitched yeast at 77°
primary: 10 days at 65°
secondary: 30 days at 65°
bottle using 3 tabs each bottle of Muntons Carb Tabs
Tasting: Every time I've made this it has come out great!
