This is also the second go around for this clone of Chimay Blue, and again it came out very well!

Alcohol: 7.5% v/v (5.9% w/w)
Water: None
Grain: 4 oz. Belgian aromatic
8 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
6 oz. American chocolate
Steep: Grains steeped until boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.144 3.0 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Light dry malt extract
2 lb. Brown sugar
Hops: 2 oz. Tettnanger (4.4% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: While Labs Abbey Ale WLP530
Log: Brewed 12/22/03
Bottled 1/12/04
OG was 1094
FG was 1028
ABV was 8.8%
Carbonation: 5 ounces of priming sugar
Tasting: This is a wonderfully smooth, dark chocolatey Belgian. Don't be afraid of the alcohol %, as it is very well balanced. A very nice holiday, cold weather sipping beer.
