1 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. Belgian aromatic
.5 lb. American crystal 60L
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1 lb. Belgian CaraVienne
.25 lb. Belgian Special B
Mash: 68% efficiency
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.102 5.5 gallons
.5 lb. Cane sugar
Irish Moss added at 15 min. for clarity.
Hops: 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
.5 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs Belgian Golden Ale Yeast was used, but WL Belgian high gravity yeast works well too.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar added for priming.
Tasting: Let this one sit a while. Longer is better. This will age well past a year. Be patient.
