shooting for something akin to judas, a belgian strong pale ale that i have not been able to find outside of europe.

14 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 58 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 7.1% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Water: carbon-filtered
Grain: 8 oz. Belgian aromatic
4 oz. Belgian CaraVienne
Steep: boil hops plain water 60 minutes. warm water sparge hop bag back into pot. let cool to 150f. steep grains 30 minutes and sparge grain bag. ready to re-boil and add malt.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.143 1.5 gallons
5 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract
add .5 oz hops to last 12 minutes of boil. filtered, cold water sparge hop bag back into pot.
Hops: 3.5 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Perle (aroma)
Yeast: belgian strong wyeast.
Log: actual og 1.060. primary 7 days @ 75f. secondary 28 days @ 75f.
Carbonation: 2.4 volumes Corn Sugar: 2.61 oz. for 3 gallons @ 75°F
