Psyco IPA

This was my 5th batch as a newbie brewer, 4 weeks after bottling
it was delicious! It just keeps getting better, so good I drink
them verrry slowly.

Beer: Psyco IPA Style: India Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 6 gallons
Color:
25 HCU (~14 SRM)
Bitterness: 55 IBU
OG: 1.063 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Water: Well water from 375ft well.
Grain: .5 lb. American victory
1.5 lb. American crystal 20L
Steep: Steep Grains 155f° for 30 ~ 40 min
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.126 3 gallons
5 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Amber malt extract
2 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Pinch of irish moss at last 10 min of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (11% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (11% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (11% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Used Wyeast London Ale Lq. Yeast, in a starter of 1/2 ltr. 1.025
wort.
Log: The last 1/2 oz of Cascade was dry hopped in secondary for 10 days
Carbonation: Used 1.2 cup of DME for priming
Tasting: This is my best so far, I wish I could savor it forever,
but you can't drink your ale and have it to... ;)
