Bitterness: 89 IBU
OG: 1.074 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 7.0% v/v (5.5% w/w)
Grain: 4 oz. American victory
2 lb. 4 oz. American crystal 40L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
4 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: Steep grains until boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.106 3.5 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Light dry malt extract
Hops: 3 oz. Cascade (6.6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (10.6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (10.6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (aroma)
1.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs Liquid WLP001 California
Log: Brewed 7/10/03
Dry Hop 7/19/03
Bottled 8/02/03
Actual Gravities were OG of 1072 and FG of 1020, or 6.9% Alcohol.
Carbonation: 5 ounces of priming sugar.
