15 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 61 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Tap water filtered through a Kinetico counter-top carbon filter.
Added 4ml Lactic Acid to 5 gal sparge water to achieve sparge
pH of 5.4
Grain: 9 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Toasted
Mash: 78% efficiency
Mash in converted Firestone keg wrapped in 1" foam. Lauter in
same.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.046 6.5 gallons
Added 1 tsp Irish Moss at 40min.
Hops: 2 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Used 22oz starter of Wyeast #1094 British Ale. Pitched into 73F
wort cooled through a Hearts counter-flow chiller.
