Water: Gypsum to tapwater pre-boil. Sparkletts to fill out the batch.
Grain: 4 lb. British pale
8 oz. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 30% efficiency
Mash 1 hr at 155.° Sparge in mini gatarade type cooler with false bottom made from folding steamer tray.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.097 4 gallons
6.6 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
8 oz Dextrine. Irish Moss at 15 min reamaining in boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Chinook (10.1% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Perle (8% AA, 45 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Tettnang (4.4% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
0 oz. Chinook (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs Californian Ale -001.
My first usage of the pure oxygen system to oxygenate the wort.
Log: Dry Hop with 1 oz whole cascades in the 2ndary for two weeks.
Carbonation: Priming suger added to bottling bucket.
