B.S. IPA

This is a medium body very hoppy ale - my wife (the B for Butler) in B.S. loves it. Great for those long rainy Bay Area winter nights.

Bitterness: 69 IBU
OG: 1.049 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 4.8% v/v (3.7% w/w)
Grain: 0.98 lb. American crystal 20L
3.9 oz. American crystal 40L
3.9 oz. American crystal 60L
3.9 oz. Flaked wheat
1.96 oz. Raw wheat
Steep: Grains steeped in bag until water reaches 200° F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.082 3 gallons
5.93 lb. Light malt extract
Irish Moss used last 15 minutes of boil.
Hops: 2.96 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
0.99 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 - American
Log: Dry hopped with 3/4 oz. of Cascade pellets at peak of fermentation.
Carbonation: 1.5 volumes Corn Sugar: 1.60 oz. for 5 gallons @ 65°F
Tasting: This is a bitter, hoppy beer.
