Communist Manifesto SesquicentenniAle

We wanted a beer to commemorate the Manifesto in an American style.
English hops were used for bittering. German for flavor and aroma.
American extract and ale yeast complete the picture. Throw one back
for the workers' control of the means of production!

Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 20L
Steep: Crystal Malt was steeped in a grain bag at 150 degrees for 30 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.112 2.5 gallons
6.6 lb. Light malt extract
0.5 lb. Honey
1/2 tsp Irish Moss added during last 10 minutes
Hops: 1.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast American Ale #1
