I wanted to make a full bodied ale with a malty taste.

1 lb. Rolled oats
Steep: steeped the grains for 30 min at ~150F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.148 2 gallons
4.0 lb. Light malt extract
3.3 lb. Amber malt extract
Hops: 2 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (aroma)
Yeast: WLP009: White Labs - Australian Ale
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 1.5 psi @ 18°F
