Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American chocolate
8 oz. American black patent
8 oz. Flaked oats
8 oz. Rolled oats
Steep: Steep at 160° for 45 mins
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.045 6.5 gallons
7 lb. Dark malt extract
5 oz. Bakers Chocolate (shaved)
Hops: .5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast of choice
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Keg: 9.0 psi @ 45°F
I use nitrogen so it is a bit different, email any questions
Tasting: Tried to duplicate Trout River`s(VT) version,mine is a bit nicer ,I thinck its the unsweetend chocolate.
