This was my first attempt at a Imperial Stout.

Water: Used 6 gallons of "reverse osmosis" water
Grain: 2.5 lb. American crystal 60L
1 lb. American black patent
12 oz. Roasted barley
12 oz. Flaked barley
.5 lb. chocolate malt
.25 lb. coffee malt
Mash: 80% efficiency
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.146 4 gallons
9 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
12 oz. Brown sugar
added irish moss w/ 15 minutes left in boil
added 120z of light brown sugar at start of boil
Hops: 3 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (4.5% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Irish Yeast
Log: Primary fermentation was 12 days
Secondary fermentaion was 11 days
