Melena Imperial Stout

This beer turned out excellent, and I distributed it in a "Holiday Cheer Beer" pack with my Oktoberfest which I gave to my close friends for the Holidays.

Color:
205 HCU
Bitterness: 21 IBU
OG: 1.083 FG: 1.024
Alcohol: 7.6% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Grain: 0.53 lb. British crystal 95-115L
0.53 lb. British black patent
0.53 lb. Roasted barley
4.2 oz. Wheat malt
Steep: 45 min at 165°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.166 2.5 gallons
10.6 lb. Dark malt extract
1 tsp. Irish Moss @ 15min remaining in boil
Hops: 1 oz. Challenger (8% AA, 55 min.)
1 oz. Bullion (8.5% AA, 40 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 2 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1318 London III
1.3c. LDME in 8c. water for starter
Log: In primary for 5 days. In secondary for 2 months! Therefore required additional yeast for conditioning. Added 5g. dry Nottingham reconstituted in 3/4c boiled/cooled water, along with 1.5c boiled/cooled water + 1tsp yeast nutrient + 2/3c priming sugar. Best after one month in bottle
Tasting: Delicious! Smooth, sweet, great flavor, min hops.
