142 HCU (~45 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.034 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 2.8% v/v (2.2% w/w)
Water: Hard water or add gypsum
Grain: .5 lb. American crystal 60L
.25 lb. Belgian chocolate
.25 lb. Flaked oats
.75 lb. British black patent
Steep: steep to 170° F, then remove
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.034 5 gallons
4 lb. Dark malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Bullion (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast #1084 (Irish Ale) 50ml
Carbonation: 1.8 volumes Corn Sugar: 2.87 oz. for 5 gallons @ 80°F
