Paddywhackery Stout

My basic dry Irish Stout recipe.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
84 HCU (~31 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.046 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Grain: 7 lb. British pale
1 lb. Flaked barley
1 lb. Roasted barley
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mash at a low saccharification temperature (150°F).
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.033 7 gallons
Hops: 1.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 10 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale (I find it makes a more
authentic stout than when using a yeast labeled "Irish").
Carbonation: Medium-low carbonation.
