Trinity Twilight Stout

Holy hophead batman! Somehow the NCJHB I modified here didn't quite
prepare me for 59 IBU's, but what they hey! It's good stuff served
moderately warm (50+ degrees)...if you're into hops. hehe.
Definitely ages well. Very sharp after a week or two in the bottle,
but very good after a month or two. I've found I like it best if I
roll the bottle as I would with a hefeweizen before I pour.

Brewer: Jay Savage Email: -

Grain: .5 lb. American crystal 40L
.5 lb. British black patent
.5 lb. Roasted barley
Boil: minutes SG 1.153 2 gallons
3.3 lb. Munton's Amber malt extract
3.3 lb. Munton's Dark malt extract

Carbonation: Primed w/ 1/2c. cornsugar. Half in bottles, half in minikegs.
Tasting: As above, very sharply bitter at first, but ages marvelously. I like
to roll or shake the bottle before I pour, seems to improve the head
and I like the the yeastiness.
