Toasted Oats

OG: 1.068 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 6.2% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. British crystal 95-115L
1 lb. British chocolate
1 lb. British black patent
8 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: 2 cups of Oats are toasted in oven for about 30 minutes.

Prior to adding grains, steep oats for one hour and siphon out water into brew pot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.114 3 gallons
7 lb. Dark malt extract
1 lb. Molasses
Hops: 2 oz. Northern Brewer (7.7% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Styrian Goldings (5.6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 15 min.)
