12 oz. American black patent
12 oz. Roasted barley
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.119 3 gallons
7 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Hops: 2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1098
Tasting: Made this "for my wife," attempting to replicate a stout we both enjoyed at a local brewpub. Turned out to be excellent. I did not make a starter with this the first time around. Will definitely do so next time.
