Bullet Thick Porter

I haven't made this one yet; but plan to soon. Tell me what you think of this.

Brewer: whiz lancto Email: thewhizman@earthlink.net
Beer: Bullet Thick Porter Style: Robust Porter
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
98 HCU (~35 SRM)
Bitterness: 9 IBU
OG: 1.070 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 7.7% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 90L
8 oz. Flaked oats
8 oz. Belgian chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
Steep: Throw grains into steeping bag(s) and toss into the brew pot with 2 gallons of water. Bring water to 160-170°. Hold for 15-20 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.174 2 gallons
6 lb. 6 oz. Light malt extract
2 lb. Brown sugar
if you like a little extra head, add a cup of malt dextrin. It doesn't seem to effect flavor.
Hops: 1 oz. Cluster (7% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: use any good quailty stout yeast
Log: I'll be making this sometime this week. Cool the wert rapidly to 100 degrees before transfering to fermenter. Then add rest of water, take OG reading, add yeast, and the rest is history.
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Dried Malt Extract: 5.40 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F
