Grant's Imperfect Porter

This was a wild attempt at replicating Grant's Perfect Porter.
It didn't succeed, but DAMN is it GOOD!

Beer: Grant's Imperfect Porter Style: Robust Porter
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.0 gallons
Color:
386 HCU
Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.047 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: Distilled water with 1/8tsp Non-iodized salt, 1/4tsp Epsom Salts,
2tsp Calcium Chloride, 1/8tsp Gypsum.
Grain: 6 oz. Caramel Pils Malt
2.0 lb. Chocolate Malt
1.5 lb. Black Malt
12 oz. Flaked barley
3 oz. Smoked Peat
Steep: Bring 3 qts dist. water to 150F. Steep crushed grains for 45:00.
Sparge with 3 more qts 150F into kettle.
Top up to 6 gallons and begin boil.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.040 6.0 gallons
4.0 lb. Light dry malt extract
Boil for at least 20 minutes and skim well.
First hop addition with 60 minutes to go.
1 tsp dissolved Irish moss for last 20 minutes of boil.
Last hop addition with 15 minutes to go.
Hops: 1.0 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 1.5 qts starter with White Labs Ale yeast.
Carbonation: 2.0 volumes Corn Sugar: 2.94 oz. for 5.0 gallons @ 65°F
