20 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 11 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Florida spring water, 150 hardness, added 2 tsp gypsum.
Grain: 16 oz. British crystal 40L
Steep: Steeped 1 lb 40L crystal malt @ 160 deg for 15 min.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.184 1.5 gallons
6 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract
8 oz. Brown Sugar
1 tsp Irish Moss last 10 min.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (7.3% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (6.0% AA, 10 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast, London Ale
Log: Brewed 5/2 {SG 1.048}
Pitched the yeast @ 72 deg.
Primary in 5 gallon carboy with blow-off tube.
Did not secondary rack.
Very active fermentation
Bottled 5/13 {FG 1.015)
Carbonation: Primed with 3/4 cup corn sugar.
Tasting: At bottling time it had a great taste, clean and to hopi.
Nice rich brown color.
Will update in 30 days. Brewed 5/2 {SG 1.048}
