9 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 28 IBU
OG: 1.061 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 6.5% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Water: Filtered Water
Grain: 1 lb. British pale
12 oz. American crystal 10L
8 oz. Biscuit Malt
Mash: 60% efficiency
Place grains in pot and remove just as it starts boiling
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.102 3 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
12 oz. Cane sugar
Instead of cane sugar I use Lyles Golden Syrup (invert sugar)
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast British Ale # 1098
Log: Dry hop 1/2 oz. Kent goldings
In primary 4-5 days
In Secondary 10-14 days
Wait 2 to 3 weeks for a cleaner flavor.
