National Shag Ale

This beer was based on a Special Bitter recipe.
I used small amounts of various adjuncts for a new twist.

17 HCU (~10 SRM)
Bitterness: 44 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Grain: 14 lb. British pale
.5 lb. Gambrinus Honey Malt
.5 lb. Belgian Special B
1 lb. Torrified Wheat
.5 lb. German Munich
Mash: 83% efficiency
Single temperature infusion mash at 152 degrees for
90 minutes. Sparged till runnings were 1.005. 12 gallons in 90 minutes
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.043 12 gallons
irish moss at 10 min.
Hops: 2.75 oz. Northern Brewer (6.9% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1024 from a yeast cake of previuos batch. I split the cake between two 5 gallon
carboys.
