This is a thick bodied sweet and nutty beer.
Very addictive for those that like strong flavors.
Easily made into "strong beer" add pale malt to the mix.

Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American Munich
6 oz. American crystal 60L
6 oz. American crystal 80L
4 oz. Belgian Special B
6 oz. British Carastan
2 oz. American chocolate
1 oz. smoked
6 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: steep at 160 F for 1 hour
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.188 9 liters
11 lb. Light malt extract
irish moss at the last 10 min of the boil
Hops: .8 oz. Northern Brewer (9.9% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
.1 oz. Northern Brewer (9.9% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: use any ale yeast.
Sweetness is perfered.
Log: Ferment 1 week primary.
two week secondary.
bottle allow one week to carbonate.
3 weeks till yeast is doormant.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Corn Sugar: 5.19 oz. for 22 liters @ 21°C
I like this beer.
